A
letter from James regarding the Mini Rufus Relay
Dear
All
I have
received the schedule for the Mini Rufus Relay to be held on Sunday 7th May at
The New Forest Bluebell Ride.
The
'Mini Relay' consists of teams of 3 plus 1 optional as reserve (this is confirmed
as a riding reserve) Each rider will do the course of
32km in relay. As soon as the first rider in has passed the timekeeper the next
rider can set off, and so on............. The reserve can ride any loop, but
their score will only count in the event of one of the nominated team failing
to finish.
Each
rider / horse will be graded as per EGB rules. The winning team is not
necessarily the first past the post as the scoring system is based on optimum
speed and grading (Note !! Optimum, does not always
mean fastest !!!)
Prizes
and rosettes on offer. The route will be a mixture of open heath and forestry
enclosures.
Please
take a look at the details below and let me know what you think, Ideally I would like us to be able to put forward 2 teams as
we did last year.
Volunteers
for the team can phone or e-mail me (Home 01304 369811 -
I will
have to start phoning YOU !
Generally
I have got details of rider, horse, levels etc. but if you could confirm them
it would be of assistance.
Many
thanks to you all for your continued interest in SE Teams
PS. WE
WILL BE STARTING TO LOOK AT THE TEAM SHIRTS SOON - NOMINATIONS / VOTES ON
COLOUR
NOW
BEING TAKEN
Regards,
James
